Winter Prospect Showcase: Stats Breakdown

The Winter Prospect Showcase took place on Sunday, January 13th at Segnette Field, home of Loyola University in Westwego, LA. The open event featured 35+ prospects – from across the state of Louisiana - complete the 60-yard dash, positional workouts, live batting practice with exit velocity station, and pitcher bullpen sessions. Here's a look at the numbers from Sunday's event.

TOP 60 YARD DASH TIMES

Sh’God Jones (Scotlandville, 2020) clocked the quickest 60 of the event, posting a time of 7.07-seconds. Cody Crain (Hoover (AL), 2020), clocked a time of 7.10-seconds, while Cade Simpson (Holy Cross, 2019). Brody Knapps (Central(BR), 2021) and William Dunn (Ascension Catholic, 2019) followed suit, with times of 7.19-seconds and 7.22-seconds respectively.

Luke Hill (Episcopal, 2022) rounds out the leaderboard from Sunday, registering 80 mph from the infield.

While, Carson Carey (Airline, 2022) showed off quality arm strength for his age, posting a positional velocity of 74 mph. Cade Tramuta (Destrehan, 2020) and Sladen Lyles (Springfield, 2022) round out the leaderboard with positional velocities of 73 mph and 71 mph respectively.
