Brody Knapps: OF/RHP, (2021) Central, LA. 5-foot-9, 180-pound physical frame. At the plate, the right-handed hitter showed his power ability with an exit velocity of 93 mph. Setup includes a smooth load and strong stance. Displayed explosive bat speed, as well as an uphill swing plane and good extension on his finish. Found a lot of barrels in his round. Gap to gap approach. In the outfield, his best throws to the infield topped out at 83 mph; had athletic footwork, soft hands and a clean exchange. Laterally, movements were athletic. Showed a long arm action with an-over-the-top slot. He recorded a time of 7.06 in the 60-yard dash.
5/20/2018 Medium, athletic 5-foot-8, 165-pound frame. Displayed quality level of athleticism running a 6.87 60-yard dash. Right-handed hitter starting from an open, athletic setup with loose rhythm in hands. Loads with pronounced leg lift as hands separate working down creating decent separation with short stride. Loose, rotational path with strength and bat speed producing an exit velocity 75 mph. Defender that plays through the ball with rhythm, fluid footwork, receptive hands, and throws from a medium arm swing producing a positional velocity of 78 mph. Right-handed pitcher throwing from high-¾ release with fluid rhythm and easy effort in delivery. Works down mound with in-line direction, finishing athletically and off to the first base side. Fastball was commanded in the zone at 77-81 mph and showed mostly straight action. Breaking ball was thrown at 66-68 mph and showed early, near12/6 shape. Change up was thrown with near fastball arm speed at 73-74 mph.
