12/27/14 - Knernschield is a strong 5-foot-11, 180-pound right-hand hitting catcher. During hitting drills showed an athletic set-up, simple stride and load, strong hands, flat middle-oppo contact. Ran a 7.20 60-yard dash. Behind the plate has quick feet and a short, snap type throwing motion, gets rid of the ball quickly, throws had carry, very accurate arm, pop times 1.94-2.05. On the mound throws with short slinging three-quarters arm action, fastball 80-83 mph, strikes. Breaking ball with 12/6 shape, 64-69 mph. Change-up at 72-73 mph.
 
12/14/14 - Knernschield is a solid 5-foot-11 185-pound right-handed hitting catcher.  At the plate, posted one of the event's best exit velos at 91 mph, athletic stance, slight hand load, smooth rhythm, short stride, lands square, middle-oppo approach, pull power, short to contact, balanced throughout swing, good round of batting practice, runs 4.57 home-to-first. Behind the plate, had one of event's best POP times at 1.95, strong arm strength with 80 mph velo from crouch, clean exchange, quick footwork, accurate throws to the bag with carry, quick over-the-top release.  On the infield, 81 mph velo, over-the-top release with accurate throws, fluid footwork with quick release.

1/20/14 Knernschield is a strong 5-foot-11 180-pound catcher.  He has a quick, clean exchange that produces pop times between 2.10 and 2.30.  His throws had carry and were consistently accurate. His had a positional velo of 80 MPH.  Offensively, is slightly uphill with a pull approach.  He has a simple balanced stance and power potential.   He has an exit velo of 79 MPH and a 7.55 60 time.
1/20/14 – Knernschield is a 5-foot-11 180-pound right handed pitcher.  He throws his fastball at 79-80 MPH with late run.  His curveball is 12/6 with early break and is 66-65 MPH.  He showed a chang-up at near fastball arm speed at 73-74 MPH.  He has an over-the-top delivery with good balance and a quick arm speed.
2/18/13: Knerschield is an athletically built 5-foot-11, 180-pound two way player. On the mound, Knerschield comes from a ¾ arm slot with long arm action. His fastball sat 74-76 mph, topping at 77-mph. He also threw a 12-to-6 breaking ball with gradual break in the 68-71 mph range and a 68-72 mph change up with near fastball arm speed on the 70-71 mph range. In the infield, Knerschield moved well to the ball with a clean exchange and quick arm action, showing some arm strength for a player of his age (top throw of 76-mph). Offensively, Knerschield has a balanced setup at the plate with a smooth load and short stride. His bat takes a long, uphill path to the ball, showing ability to make consistent contact. He still has plenty of room to develop his skills and could be a player to watch over the next few years. 

9-20-2018: Solid showing offensively with strong hands, sound hitting mechanics and some power at the plate. Connected for a deep fly ball to right field his first at-bat and a home run off the top of the left field wall during his second. Behind the plate showed average receiving skills with above average arm strength. Knernschield has a chance to catch at the next level and is still developing in all areas of his game. (Seifert)
