No. 5 Boylan Defeats Harlem 13-3

ROCKFORD, IL- Coming into the game with one of the bet records in the state of Illinois No. 5 Boylan scored 13 times en route to a 13-3 five inning victory over Harlem on Thursday afternoon.
After spotting Harlem two runs in the top of the first the Titans came back with three in the bottom of the first coming on an RBI single by Will Troia and a two run double by Andy Cropp to take a 3-2 lead.
In the bottom of the second Boylan scored five times highlighted by an RBI single from Dalton Robinson increasing the lead to 8-2. After Harlem added a run on a solo home run in the third inning the Titans were shut down in both the third and fourth before exploding for five funs in the bottom of the fifth.
After a flyout to start the inning Ray Schmid singled and came around to score on Ian Parentice home run giving Boylan a 10-3 lead. The Titans added two more runs on an RBI double from Dalton Robinson and an RBI single from Andy Cropp. Ryan Stanicek doubled to left field to drive in Sam Rinaldo for the 13-3 five inning victory.
The Titans move to 28-1-1 on the year and will finish off the regular season on Friday at home against Guilford. Harlem drops to 9-14 on the season and returns to action Friday at Auburn.
