3/16/24
Built at an upside 6-foot-1, 174 pounds, LHP/OF Logan Wierzba (West De Pere, 2026) put together an intriguing two-way performance on Saturday. On the mound, the southpaw features an uptempo delivery and is a dynamic mover downhill with a shorter, efficient arm action. He pounded the zone with his low-80s fastball which played with some heavy arm-side run, over a foot on average. He also spun in a 12/6 breaking ball and a changeup with slight cut at times. With the bat, he took short and direct swings to the ball working gap-to-gap and registering a max exit velocity of 93 mph.
7/03/23
Wierzba impressed during his championship game start on the mound. High ceiling left-handed pitcher that showed above average pitchability. Three pitch mix with a fastball that sat in the upper-70s and touch 80 mph a handful of times. Flashed feel for a changeup in the low-70s that got swings and misses low in the zone. Also used a curveball with depth to get hitters out in front and force weak contact.
7/01/23
Uncommitted. Gave an intriguing look on the mound for GRB Rays North. The southpaw worked his fastball up to 80 mph with a loose, fluid arm action. Ripped off a 61-63 mph breaking ball to pair off the fastball.
5/19/23
The freshman had a stellar week for the Phantom's. He threw a complete game with 11 strikeouts, one walk, no earned runs and two hits allowed in their 4-3 win over Menasha.
