7.7.17 - Uncommitted 2018 prospect, 6-foot-3, 170-pound, lanky, long frame. Works from a High ¾ arm slot, with a quick arm that has a slight wrap on the backside. Had feel for three pitches, Fastball sat 83-85 mph touched 86 mph. Breaking ball was 71-76 mph, showed better shape as the game progressed, 11/5. Threw changeup at 77-78 mph with movement to arm side. Went four innings giving up one hit while striking out six.
6/6/17 - 6-foot-3, 170-pound right-handed pitcher with a lanky frame. Works from a high ¾ arm angle with a short arm circle in back and loose arm action. Short stride, working in line with home plate. Good balance through out delivery. Fastball has running and sinking action, heavy at times at 84-86 mph. Curveball has tight breaking action at 73-76 mph. One of the top uncommitted arms in the state.
4/25/17 - A lot to like about the body type and projectability, 6-foot-3, 170-pound right-handed pitcher. Long wiry frame and levers, knees and elbows coming at you, low 3/4 arm slot with arm side run that makes his fastball play up, sat 81-84 mph. Slider gets loopy at times but when down and fingers stay behind, it is tight and has late biting action, 72-74 mph. Will see velocity increase with added size and strength. Changeup still developing, played at 78-79 mph.
4/7/17 - Lanky pitcher’s frame, projects, uncommitted junior. Shorter strided delivery, stays on top of the baseball with loose easy arm, works on line. High ¾ slot, short loose action. Fastball heavy repertoire early in contest, created weak groundball contact, sat 84-85 mph, touched 86 mph, late arm side action with sink, feel for the zone. Curveball played 74-75 mph, 11/5 action, flashed bite, got swing and misses later in outing.
7/7/16 - Lanky right-handed pitcher, long legs, projectable build with wide shoulder base. Works from the first base side of the rubber, delivery works slightly across body, closed toe landing. Arm action is quick and loose, shorter draw, ¾ slot with length out front, projectable arm action. Fastball can be sneaky at times, arm side run, showed ability to control the baseball, sat 81-83 mph, touching 84 mph. Breaking ball has slurve type action, throws aggressively, 71-73 touching 76 mph, flashed swing and miss action, spins it well. Highly projectable 2018 arm to follow.
