7.7.17 - Ohio commit. 6-foot, 160-pound right-handed pitcher with a small, athletic frame. Works from a high ¾ arm angle with a short draw out of the glove. Drop and drive delivery working in line with home plate with some effort. Fastball worked 85-88 topping out at 89 mph. Curveball worked 79-80 mph with sharp breaking action.
3/12/17 - Ohio commit. 6-foot, 160-pound right-handed pitcher. Works from a high ¾ arm angle with a short draw out of the glove. Tall and fall delivery working in line with home plate. Smooth rhythm with an athletic finish. Fastball worked 86-88, touched 90 mph early in his bullpen. Lost some velocity form the stretch. Curveball has sweeping action at 75-78 mph. Snapped off a few that showed shape, late breaking action. Showed feel for his changeup at 75-77 mph with sinking action.
7/12/16 - Verbally committed to Ohio University.
3/13/16 - 6-foot, 155-pound right-handed pitcher, lean athletic shape, projectable. Tall and fall delivery, repeatable, works on line with rhythm, solid balance, slight hip turn. Arm action is quick, full draw, high ¾ slot. Fastball is typically straight, some feel, 83-85 mph. Curveball has 11/5 shape, showed feel, 72-74 mph. Changeup is above average pitch, thrown with arm speed, sinking action, good feel, sat 73-76 mph.
7.20.15 - 5-foot-11, 160-pound athletic outfielder and right-handed pitcher. Impressed in game play going 2-4 with a stolen base, RBI and a walk. Offensively, hits from the right side, starts from a balanced, tall setup. Short stride, slight load with his hands and lower half. Handsy swing, stays level through contact. Line-drive hitter, registered an 80 mph exit velocity. Defensively, moves well in the outfield, fluid feet. Short, ¾ arm action with some accuracy was clocked at 82 mph from the outfield. On the mound the right-handed pitcher is a strike thrower with a clean, athletic delivery. Works from a high ¾ slot, quick and loose arm action. Smooth rhythm, online finish, square landing and athletic finish. Pounded the zone with the fastball which ranged between 79-82 mph and touched 83, with slight arm-side-run. Curveball was 74-76 mph, fastball arm speed, tight spin and sharp break. Changeup was 73 mph and thrown for a strike as well.
3/15/15- 5-foot-11, 150-pound two-way player, slender build, medium frame, has room to fill out. Projects more on the mound. Tall and fall delivery with good balance and direction, no glaring flaws mechanically. Arm action is clean, high ¾ slot, long high draw out of the glove then works quick to release. Fastball has life to it, topped out at 83 mph, sat 79-82 mph. Throws a 12/6 downer curveball, throws hard highly aggressive, flashes sharp action, 71-74 mph, also showed good feel, highly advanced for age. Slightly decelerates arm action on changeup, 68-72 mph, left mostly arm side, lacks conviction. High ceiling arm, projects for plenty more velocity down the road. Hits from a slightly open stance, short stride, lower half collapses some, hits off back side. Sweeping path, with athletic bat speed. 79 mph exit velocity from the tee. Defensively showed advanced arm strength across the diamond for his age, 82 mph across the diamond. Comes out quick with carry. Average defender, athletic actions, shows aptitude to field at his level. 7.29 runner in the 60.
4/5/14 - 5-foot-11, 140-pound two-way player, lanky frame with projection. Showed advanced arm strength. Delivery showed good hip load, front side has some coil, smooth rhythm and athleticism. Arm operates from high ¾ slot, regular effort. Advanced fastball ranged from 74-78 mph, occasional heavy feel, mostly straight with some sink. Curveball works on 12/6 plane, has feel, high level potential, 65-66 mph throws aggressively. Throws changeup with conviction, fastball arm speed, slight fading action, 71-74 mph. Defensively was aggressive attacking the baseball, excellent footwork in the outfield, played throught he baseball well, advanced arm for age, 82 mph from the outfield. On the infield showed similar athleticism and aggressiveness attacking the baseball, average body control, arm played at 76 mph. Offensively hits from a slightly open stance, short stride, good balance. Bat path is shorter than most with extension, line drive type approach working the middle of the field. 79 mph exit velocity from the tee.
9/16/19: The 6-foot, 190 pound Dauman worked a quick inning behind an 89-91 mph fastball and a low-80s breaking ball. Pumped strikes with a fast arm and a slight pause on backside.
