Hit: RHH. Balanced stance, bend at the knees, smooth pre-pitch load, small leg leg kick. Quick bat speed, easy swing, short level bat plane, gets extension after contact, whole field approach, fluid rhythm.
Power: 98.67 max exit velocity, averaged 86.01 mph. 342’ max distance.
Arm: RH. INF - 92 mph. Long arm action, 3/4 slot.
Defense: Works towards the baseball, quick exchange up the middle.
Run: 6.90 runner in the 60.
Schupmann lives in the Chicago suburbs and attends Luther Prep, a charter school in Wisconsin. The 6-foot-1, 190-pound, athletic, strong, right-handed hitting, left-side of the infield prospect took one of the louder rounds of BP, something we have become accustomed to. Schupmann swings with controlled intent, advanced bat speed and present pull-side power with more to come down the road. Schupmann has natural feel to elevate the baseball and registered a max exit velocity of 98.67 mph with a max distance of 342 feet. Defensively, his bat is potent enough to handle a third base or shortstop profile. Schupmann defends with natural, smooth infield actions, sure-hands and a strong arm that topped at 92 mph across.

Defense: Smooth infield actions, quiet feet, confident sure-hands, plays with body control and can change arm angles on the move.

At 6-foot-1, 185 pounds, Schupmann projects well with his noted size and athleticism. He attends school in Wisconsin but lives in Illinois, and should earn some attention on the soon-to-be released Wisconsin ‘22 rankings. He was hot from the right-handed box this weekend, collecting six hits and several barrels, including a homer, triple, and a hard line-drive single in the accompanying tweet.
