2023 Griffin Howell out of the Windsor Selects came out strong in his first appearance with the Futures team, sitting 86-87 T89 with the fastball, featuring a tight slider that had hitters off balance, up to a 2578 spin rate. The control was shaky, especially in his second inning, but the stuff is certainly something to dream on. The short, live arm action is clean and allows the two pitches to tunnel well together. Howell drives his 6 foot, 190-pound frame down hill, using his legs well to generate velocity.
