Delivery: Athletic, medium leg tuck with balance, kicks out down hill lands online, finishes with medium leg swing finish to home with good balance.
Arm Action: RH. Full arc, up on time, 3Q slot, slings it, whippy quick arm.
FB: T85, 84-85 mph. Carry and finish through spots. T2381, 2281 average rpm.
SL: 69-70 mph. 10/4 breaker, can land, sharpness to the pitch, pairs well out of same slot as FB. T2554, 2483 average rpm.
CH: 76-77 mph. Sells the pitch out of same window as FB with some depth and fade, has feel for the pitch. T1782, 1707 average rpm.
Oatman is a 6-foot-3 pitcher with athleticism and strength. The junior worked 84-85 mph (T85.2 mph) with his fastball, displaying carry and finish while consistently hitting his spots. His 69-70 mph curveball has 10/4 shape with sharpness, and Oatman showed the ability to land it for strikes. His changeup had good separation from the fastball at 76-77 mph, and the Mosinee-native sold the pitch by throwing it out of the same tunnel as the fastball with quality arm speed. The change-of-pace had depth and fade at the end of the offering. Oatman showed good balance in his delivery throughout his bullpen, landing on-plane with home plate and finishing with a medium leg swing. He repeats his delivery and has the ability to throw all three offerings for strikes in order to keep hitters off balance.

Out of an athletic and smooth moving delivery to pair with an easy and low effort arm action Oatman was able to be in the zone consistently with all of his pitches. He ran up his fastball to 86.9 mph with above average spin rates 2255 RPM (T2320 RPM) and sat in the mid-80s throughout his ‘pen with 17 inches of run on average while flashing sinking action. Oatman also showed the ability to spin a low-70s slider at an above average rate 2478 avg RPM (T2535 RPM) that averaged 12 inches of sweep T16.7 and flashed sharp break at times. To round off his arsenal Oatman threw a mid-70s changeup with intent that he was able to spot at the bottom of the zone.
