Brown is nearly back to full health after an elbow injury, but that hasn’t prevented Brown from making gains offensively in the meantime. Brown authored one of the best BP rounds of the day, swinging an aggressive – yet controlled – right-handed barrel that repeatedly struck the ball with triple-digit EVs, including an event-high 102.7 mph max. Brown is a strong 6-foot-1, 190-pound prospect who’s previously showcased third base actions and arm strength, so if he’s back to 100 percent soon, he’ll have plenty of pop to profile at the hot corner at the next level. He generates big barrel speed (73.2 mph on average), and it produced an average exit speed of 95.5 mph and a max batted distance of 377 feet.

Brown continues to show well as a two-way player in the state’s sophomore class. He carries some inherent strength that rears itself from both the right-handed batter’s box and the rubber. Sunday, he squared up one ball into the right-center gap that left the bat at 97.0 mph, the highest among sophomores in attendance. On the mound, his fastball reached 84 mph from a higher slot and quick, loose arm action. His curveball flashed above-average action and he spotted his changeup under the zone well, featuring hard arm-side run thrown at arm speed.

Hit: RHH. Balanced setup, toe tap trigger with a long stride, full weight-shift load.  Aggressive approach at the dish, looks to do damage. Violent hacks throughout his round of BP with quick bat speed. Barrel travels on a slightly uphill zone through contact.
Power: 97 max exit velocity, averaged 82.97 mph. 310’ max distance.
Arm: RH. C -  mph. INF - 83 mph. OF -  mph. Long and loose arm action that works in a circular motion. Works from a high 3/4 window, throws play with carry across the diamond.
Defense: Advanced actions for the third base position, quick and soft hands, fluid footwork. Glove plays deep in the middle of his body.

Delivery: Works exclusively from the stretch. Drop and drive delivery with some effort. Body works in line, lands slightly closed

Delivery: Stretch-only; high-knee tuck at balance point, slight coil at peak. Fast pace to prominently closed landing, creates visible hip/shoulder separation, facilitating above-average arm strength.
Arm Action: RH. Compact arm circle, quick and clean from high 3/4 slot.
FB: T84, 82-83 mph. Above-average spin rate for age (2,190 rpm on average). Mostly straight, with some carry, natural tail. Some feel to locate.
CB: 64-67 mph. 10/4 shape that flashes sharp; vertical and horizontal action averaged -10.7 and -12.2 inches. Aggressive feel at arm speed.
SL: 70-73 mph. Shorter horizontal action; gradual break. Projects as he develops.

Arm: RH. INF - 81 mph. Compact arm action, loose, from a high 3/4 slot. Throws carry across, with accuracy.
Defense: Above-average actions fit for a third base profile. A little static upon approach, but hands are quick with efficient exchanges. Athletic on the move helps elevate third base projection long-term.

Delivery: Sqaured base from center of the rubber; fluid side step to knee lift, drops and drives with high front, good extension, closed landing, athletic finish.
