Schmitting flashed above-average arm strength for his age on the mound. The 5-foot-11, 175-pound sophomore pumped his fastball at 79-82 mph with relative ease from a loose, quick arm slot. Schmitting is certainly worth keeping tabs on this spring and summer as we get into live gameplay.
