Body: 6-3, 190-pounds. Tall build. Powerful levers.
Hit: RHH. Wide base. Back leg slightly bent, front leg more extended. Further loads into bent backside while lifting front foot. Sets foot down with balanced stance. Hands are slightly above ear in launch. Hands go slightly away from body and lead out front. Whips bat head quickly through the zone. Line drive approach, goes where the ball is pitched. 71.6 mph bat speed with 19 G's of rotational acceleration.
Power: 100 max exit velocity, averaged 93.1 mph. 339' max distance. Consistent hard line drive contact.
Arm: RH. OF-87 mph. Moves slowly through crow hop until release. Very fast arm whip to generate fast release. Stays on top of the ball and uses strong upper body for zip.
Defense: Methodical routes to the baseball. Long strides.
ATH: 6.72 runner in the 60. Long strides, top speed is elite. 28.60 max vertical.
Oster came onto the scene in the summer with a loud performance at our Top Prospect workout in June and carried that momentum into Future Games. A 6’2, 175 lb athlete with above average speed and an 88 mph arm from the OF. He has some of the best present tools and upside in the class. He’s posted impressive bat speed numbers in multiple events and has above average power potential with his upper 90s peak EV. He creates easy leverage with his swing and finishes with an uphill path. Power plays best to his pull-side presently. Overall, Oster showed his tools belong at a national level event and could make significant progress as he continues to get more reps and seasoning.
