Riley McDade: RHP/SS, (2026) Champlain Valley Union, VT. 155-pound lean athletic build. Projectable and athletic in the box, Mcdade had a max exit velocity of 81 mph. (66.3 mph bat speed average). (17.6 mph hand speed average). Starts in a balanced wide stance with a low handsy load, then uses a small stride. Bat speed is developing quick, showed a flat loose swing plane and good extension on his finish. Had loud contact and found multiple barrels. Line drive approach. Projectable and athletic in the infield, displayed a velocity of 83 mph; shows athletic developing feet, a clean natural exchange, and developing soft hands. Laterally, movements were athletic and fielded the ball out front. Consistent accuracy to the bases, used a high ¾ slot and a loose arm action. Projectable athletic on the mound, used a quick loose arm action and a high ¾ arm angle while showing developing arm speed. Feel type pitcher and showed some effort. Has a consistent balance point and in line shoulders. Lands closed with an athletic finish. Produced a fastball that came in at 78-79 mph; showed command arm side around the zone and running sinking action. (Max spin 2039; Avg 1973). His curveball (65-67) had slurvey action and glove side around the zone command. (Max spin 1827; Avg 1746).
