The 5-foot-6, 125 pound right-handed hitting infielder had a tee exit velocity of 64 mph. The initial set up begins with the hands held high and the stance is closed. The rhythm of the swing is quick and causes him to jump to the front side. The bat head stays on a good line through the swing and extends well through contact. He also ran a 8.18 at this event.Defensively, he was 69 mph across the diamond. Before contact he begins with good pre-movement in the feet. As the ball is hit, the feet are very active and the hands stay loose. The breakdown is a tad late, so he gets caught fielding balls deep inside the body. The hands do show well. They are soft and the glove angel is good. He gets into a good fielding position on the backhand and works through the ball well to that side. The ball hit right at him, he needs to get over his front side and work through his throw. He’s really hard on the front leg and recoils.
