Fitzpatrick is listed at 5-foot-11, 160-pounds and I think that may be on the smaller side. Offers a nice combination of athleticism and physicality to the frame and actions. While Fitzpatrick is an average runner on the watch, he plays the game a little quicker than what his 60 indicates. At shortstop he offers lateral range and takes solid angles on batted balls. The arm strength and hands are good enough to stay on the left side, the only question whether he can stay at short or not is the footspeed.

Fitzpatrick is 5-11 with an athletic 160 pound frame that has some strength present and projection left to it. He hits from the right side from a balanced athletic stance, short stride on line, smooth load back to a slight wrap. Hips rotate completely with violence and he maintains some lower half balance. Hands stay inside, quick to the ball and through the zone, slightly uphill line drive swing path with strength at contact point and some extension through the ball, showed a good approach working primarily gap to gap, lots of carry and power present to all fields, with easy extra base power present, exit velocity was 96. In the infield, gets body behind the ball and fields with above average hands, works through the ball with a quick clean exchange, throws from a low three-quarters arm slot, short arm action, position velocity was 76. Ran a 7.24 60 yard dash.

Fitzpatrick has an athletic 5-foot-11 frame and room to add strength. Plays a little more physical than the frame suggests. Started at second base for Atlee. Did not get much in game action at second, but did show some nice defensive attributes in pre-game. Average hands, throws from multiple slots with accuracy, and enough arm strength where he could move to the left side if necessary. At the plate Fitzpatrick hits from a square athletic stance, small pick up and stride, and lands on line. Hands load to separation, swing gets a little long at times, and has a level path through the zone. Fitzpatrick showed nice balance in the swing and did a good job matching pitch planes with his posture. Had a few groundballs to the left side, so not much to show offensively, but has some intrigue at the plate with some positional versatility on the defensive side.
