A fastball with hop has a flat approach angle and visually jumps through the zone. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher swing and miss average. Hop+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Sink+
A fastball with sink has low backspin and drops through the strike zone. When thrown down in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher ground ball percentage and lower launch angle. Sink+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Rise+
A fastball with rise has a high percentage of backspin. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher fly ball percentage. Rise+ of 100 is MLB average
Curveball
Hammer+
A hammer breaking ball drops vertically with velocity through the zone, or 12-to-6 movement. Hammer+ of 100 is MLB average.
Curveball
Sweep+

Riendeau has a projectable 6-foot-3 frame with room to fill out. Down and out stride and lands closed. Short arm circle working from a high three-quarter arm slot. Riendeau struggled with control in the first, but did a nice job settling in in the second and beyond. Battled through three and two thirds innings and worked out of some tough jams. The breaking ball had bigger 1/7 shape at 67-69 mph with the ability to land it for strikes.

Riendeau is 6-3 with a lanky frame that has a lot of projection left to it. He hits from the left side from a slightly open balanced athletic stance, low leg kick stride on line, smooth load back to a slight wrap. Hips rotate completely with some violence and he maintains some lower half balance. Hands stay inside, short and quick to the ball, slightly uphill line drive swing, strong at contact with extension through the ball, showed a good approach using the whole field, natural loft in swing, power present to all fields and very real to pull side, exit velocity was 94. In the infield, gets body behind the ball and fields with a wider base and above average hands, works through ball to a clean exchange, throws from a high three-quarters arm slot, short arm action position velocity was 83. Ran a 7.25 60 yard dash. On the mound, he throws from a very high three-quarters arm slot, shorter loose quick arm action and some effort to his delivery. Shoulders are level and on line, lands square with a slight fall off finish and recoil. Fastball was 80-82, with downward plane and a bit of late cut to it. Curveball had good armspeed and was 67-68 with gradual 1/7 break to it.
