Walsh is a Maryland commit with a tall lankier athletic frame that has some strength present but a lot of projection left to it. Throws from a low three-quarters arm slot with a long loose, quick arm action and some effort in his delivery. Drop and drive classic lefty crossfire delivery, shoulders are uphill and closed, lands closed with some fall off in his finish and recoil. Hides ball and creates deception. Fastball was 83-86, touching 88, long limbs and low slot create a challenging angle to the plate, pitch gets some late sink to it as well. Slider was 74-78 with good armspeed and sharp hard 2/8 break to it, mostly backdoored it to righthanded hitters.

Walsh has an athletic frame with some projection left to it. On the mound, he throws from a lower three-quarters arm slot with a short quick arm action and normal effort, good natural deception to his delivery. Fastball was consistently 84-86, touching 87 once and 88 once, pitch had hard late armside run. Great armspeed on his slider with late hard 10/4 break at 77-79. Showed ability to back foot the pitch to righties. Also looked good at the plate, had a pair of sharp singles off of Cheifetz, and there is some power potential there from the left side. He struck out four in two innings of work on the mound.

Hits from the left side starting in an athletic balanced square stance. Pickup and put down to stride, hands make minimal load back, and bat is slightly vertical. Quick hands with a short swing and a slightly uphill path to the swing. Lower half finished completely and Walsh maintained some solid balance on finish. Posted a 83 mph exit velocity. In the outfield he had solid glove presentation on approach, fielded outside glove foot, and a clean exchange to hand break. Arm action was full and threw from a lower three-quarter arm slot with plenty of arm strength at 87 mph positional velocity. Ran a 7.32 60. Nice fluid delivery on the mound. Strong balance point gathered over the rubber, shoulders closed, down and out stride, and shoulders level. Lands on line over a soft front side, back side comes around landing square, and hands break in rhythm. Loose quick arm from a three-quarter arm slot. Fastball was live out of the hand and flashed arm side run at 80-83 mph, touching 84 mph a few times. Changeup was a solid secondary pitch with arm speed and hard late arm side fade. Slider had nice arm speed and intent, but was loose in shape.
