Liu has a strong athletic frame, he hits from the right side from a balanced stance. Leg kick stride on line, short smooth load down and back. Hips rotate with some violence, good lower half balance during his swing. Hands are short to the ball and stay it inside well. Line drive swing, uses whole field well. Unselfish approach at the plate, executed a sacrifice bunt in one at-bat, took a walk in another. In the at-bat on the video, the swing and miss is his early in the count swing. The ball that he put into play was with two strikes and the bases loaded, he cut down his stride and trusted his hands and lined a single to right, driving in two runs.
