Trumbo is 6-0 with an athletic frame. He hits from the right side from a balanced athletic stance, short stride on line, smooth load back, some rhythm, explosive lower half with some balance to his swing. Short to ball with extension through it, strength at contact, slightly uphill swing path, showed good approach working gap to gap. Behind the plate, quick clean exchange, throws from a three-quarters arm slot with a short arm action, catcher velocity was 75, pop times were 2.01-2.20.

1.29.17:  Trumbo is 5-11 with an athletic frame, throws from a low three-quarters arm slot with a drop and drive delivery, arm action is short with normal effort. Shoulders closed and level, lands square with athletic finish. Fastball had some sink, ran 68-72. Curveball had gradual 10/4 break, running 56-58. Change-up had sink and good armspeed, running 63-65. Knuckleball had good armspeed, running 61-62. Hits from right side from a slight crouch, short stride on line, short load back with slight wrap. Decent balance throughout swing, short to ball with a quick bat and good extension, exit velocity was 82. Behind the plate, showed some sway getting behind ball, gains ground on exchange, throws from a low three-quarters arm slot. Pop times were 2.19-2.37, catcher velocity was 68.
