Gerson is 5-11 with a strong athletic 180 pound frame that has some projection left to it. He hits from the right side from an open balanced athletic stance, two step stride on line, short smooth load back to a wrap. Hips rotate completely with some violence and he maintains some lower half balance. Hands stay inside, short to the ball, uphill line drive swing path with strength at contact and extension through the ball, extra base power present to all fields, exit velocity was 93. In the infield, rounds ball and fields with a wider base and soft quick hands, works through the ball to a clean exchange, throws from a low three-quarters arm slot, short loose quick arm action, position velocity was 80. Ran a 7.42 60 yard dash. On the mound, he throws from a high three-quarters arm slot, very short quick arm action and normal effort to his delivery.Shoulders are uphill and closed, lands open with an athletic finish. Fastball was 79-81, with downward angle and some late armside run. Curveball was 66-68 with good armspeed and sharp 11/5 break to it. Change-up was 72-73 with good armspeed and some late run to it.
