Cherry has an athletic frame that has some projection left to it. He has some speed and was consistently 4.31-4.40 up the line from the left side. In centerfield he gets good breaks and takes good routes, he can clearly play there long term. Throws from a high three-quarters arm slot with some arm strength. At the plate, hits from an athletic open stance, very short quick stroke, level line drive swing. Gap-to-gap approach with extra base power and the potential to hit for a high average as well. As he gets stronger has the batspeed to potentially grow into some pull home run power.

Athletic frame. Hits from an athletic set up at the plate and showed quick hands at the plate with a level path that got slightly stiff at times. The bat speed should play and be one to watch as he develops and will be one to follow. Runs well, covers ground in the outfield and showed above average arm strength right now that should get better. Has potential should turn into a nice prospect in the 2020 class.
