Cape Cod- Worked quickly with his 91-92 mph, higher-spin fastball (2300-2490 rpm) and showed good sink to his arm side. His slider also spun in the 2400s at 79-80 mph, but had a wide break and played as a below average pitch. Control was an issue this summer (five BBs in 12.2 IP this summer) due his upper half and lower half being greatly out of sync during my look as he landed across his body, then flew open with his shoulders.

Big projectable frame standing around 6-foot-5. Chenault flashed some pull-side power hitting from the right side. Hits with a square stance and uses a simple pickup and put down to stride, landing on line. Path has some uphill tilt to it with the barrel staying on through extension and head stays behind at contact. Defensively has the arm strength and actions for the left side, but average footspeed and range may keep him off of shortstop if a two-way player

Lanky projectable frame with room to add more strength. Quikc compact delivery with nice tempo and high compact leg kick. Stays connected thoughout delivery. Short arm action, hiding the ball well with electric arm speed. Fastball showed late life pitching 87-89 mph getting as high as 91mph on a taken fastball. Breaking ball has 11/5 shape on the pitch with late life and swing and miss potential at 77 mph. More in this tank as he adds strength and weight to frame and shows potential to be a special arm. Has two-way potential with short swing and bat speed at plate and very good athleticism.
