Sawyers has an athletic frame that has some projection left to it. He throws from a three-quarters arm slot with a short quick arm action and normal effort. Lands closed with some fall off to his finish. Fastball was 80-83, hitting 83 a lot, with hard late run and some depth to it. Change-up was 74-76 with some armspeed and sink. Slider had 10/4 break and was 67-68. Threw all three pitches for strikes and showed ability to move fastball in and out.
