Heil has a lankier athletic frame with some projection left to it. At the plate, he hits from the right side from a slightly open athletic stance. Short stride on line, smooth load back, hips rotate and he maintains good lower half balance. Short level line drive swing, uses whole field. On the mound, throws from a very low three-quarters arm slot, just a hair above sidearm. Longer free arm, has some quickness. Shoulders are level and closed, lands open with an athletic finish. Fastball was 76-78, touching 81, with a ton of hard armside run that gets some depth to it. Curveball has good armspeed and was 64-67 with sharp 10/4 break and drew some swing and misses. Around the zone with both pitches.
