Thomas is 6-3 with a very lanky athletic frame that has a lot of projection left to it. He throws from a sidearm slot with a long arm action that is free, normal effort to his delivery. Hinges at waist, shoulders on line, lands square with an athletic finish with some recoil. Fastball 74-77, touching 78, with some hard run to armside that also has depth to it. Curveball was 60-62 with some armspeed and gradual 10/4 break.
Preseason All-State II
Thomas is 6-3 with a very lanky frame that has a lot of projection left to it. He throws from a very low three-quarters arm slot with a short free arm action that is quick and normal effort to his delivery. Hinges at waist, almost down to submarine. Shoulders are on line, lands square with athletic finish and some recoil. Fastball was 74-77 with heavy sink and some run to it. Slider was 57-61 with sharp 10/4 break and some armspeed, does a good job getting hand on top to create some depth. Change-up was 65-68 with good armspeed and some late hard sink to it. Can throw all three for strikes and essentially gets subby movement without dropping all the way down.
Preseason All-State
Thomas is 6-3 with a lanky frame that has a lot of projection left to it. Throws from a three-quarters arm slot with a long loose arm action that has some quickness to it and normal effort. Shoulders are level and on line, lands slightly open with a fall off finish. Fastball was 72-74, touching 76, with good downward plane and some late hard run to it. Curveball was 59-61 with gradual 10/4 break and good shape, has potential to tighten into a very good pitch. Slider was 57-61 with similar 10/4 action but was sharper.
