Unsigned Senior Games
Neal is 5-10 with an athletic frame that has some projection left to it. He throws from a higher three-quarters arm slot with a short arm action that is loose and quick, normal effort to his delivery. Shoulders are closed and level, lands open with a slight fall off finish. Fastball was 80-83, touching 84, with some downward angle and a bit of late run. Curveball was 63-67 with good armspeed and sharp 12/6 break. Knuckleball was 67-68 with good armspeed and some dive to it.
Mid-Atlantic Summer Championships
Neal has a strong frame at 5-foot-10, 190-pounds. Solid defender at third with accurate throws across. Had a nice weekend offensively, coming through with multiple big hits for the Breeze 16U team. Square athletic stance, hands have some rhythm and a small trigger back, and lands square after small stride. Short to the ball with a slightly uphill path and maintains balance and quiet head throughout the swing. Gap to gap approach with some power to the pull side. On the mound, fastball was 82-83, touching 84. Also spun a curveball that was 70-73.
Preseason All-State II
Neal is 5-10 with an athletic frame and a strong lower half. He hits from the right side from an athletic stance, strides on line, loads down and back, hips rotate completely with some violence, and he maintains some balance during his swing. Stayed inside the ball well, keeps hands short to contact with some extension through, slightly uphill path, line drive swing, showed good approach working gap to gap, exit velocity was 77. Behind the plate, gains some ground towards second during a clean exchange. Throws from a three-quarters arm slot, short arm action, position velocity was 76 and pop times were 2.10-2.22.
