Shields has an athletic frame that has some projection left to it. Clean actions during pregame, looked smooth. Didn't get a defensive chance during the game with all of the strikeouts. At the plate, hits from the right side, hips rotate and he has good balance to his swing. Level bat path with some batspeed. Got a pretty good piece on a SAC fly to center, looks to be a line drive hitter who will have some doubles pop. Would like to see again and lock in on.
