Big strong physical frame and is a good defender at first base and on the mound. Made multiple plays ranging laterally at first and showed quick reactions off of the mound fielding his position. On the mound he came on in relief in the 7th and pitched primarily out of the stretch. Slide step to the plate, average arm circle, low effort delivery, and throws from an over the top slot. Fastball was 80-83 in his short relief work. Did not have a great feel for the offspeed and only threw it two-three times. McBride came in an allowed his defense to work and got a few ground balls to the left side to finish this one off.
