A fastball with hop has a flat approach angle and visually jumps through the zone. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher swing and miss average. Hop+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Sink+
A fastball with sink has low backspin and drops through the strike zone. When thrown down in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher ground ball percentage and lower launch angle. Sink+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Rise+
A fastball with rise has a high percentage of backspin. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher fly ball percentage. Rise+ of 100 is MLB average
Bachman is 5-9 with an athletic165 pound frame that has some strength present already. He hits from the right side from an open balanced athletic stance, big leg kick stride on line, loads down and back. Hips rotate completely with some violence and he maintains some lower half balance. Hands stay inside, short to the ball, slightly uphill line drive swing path with some strength at contact and extension through the ball, showed a good approach working gap to gap, already has some power present with more to come, exit velocity was 94. In the outfield, gets body behind the ball and fields through it with above average hands, quick clean exchange, throws from a low three-quarters arm slot, short loose arm action, position velocity was 76. Showed versatility working out in the infield as well. Ran a 7.25 60 yard dash. On the mound, he throws from a low three-quarters arm slot, short free arm action with some quickness and normal effort to his delivery. Drop and drive delivery with some crossfire that creates deception, shoulders are level and closed, lands closed with an athletic finish. Fastball was 74-76, touching 77, with some downward angle and late armside run that has depth as well. Slider was 65-68 with good armspeed and gradual 10/4 break to it. Knuckleball was 59-65 with good arm speed and late dance to it.

Athletic frame with projection left to it. Bachman sets up with a slightly open athletic stance. Small leg lift to stride and hands load in rhythm. Bachman has a hands first approach leading into the swing. Level path to contact and hands work across the body and barrel is quick out of the zone. Had a single back through the middle in his second at bat and a single through the left side later on. Contact driven swing right now and would like to see the barrel stay in the zone a little longer out front, but looks to have a fairly strong offensive skillset for a 2025 facing arms that are much more experienced than him.
