Leitzel has an athletic frame with some projection left to it. Hits from the left side from a slightly open stance. Level line drive swing with some barrel awareness, used whole field with some doubles power potential in the gaps. Has some speed, got up the line in 4.22. Athleticism at short should allow him to stick there or he could slide to second. Potential top of the order hitter who can hit for higher average and use speed as a weapon.
