Dressler has a lankier athletic frame. He throws from a sidearm slot and gets heavy run on his fastball that has some depth as well. The pitch was 75-77 touching 78 a few times. Slider had 2/8 break but was more of a sweeper with some depth. Good armspeed and threw it at 69. Got some ground balls in the first inning and then struck out the side in his second inning.
Preseason All-State
Dressler is 5-9 with an athletic frame, he hits from the left side from an open athletic stance. Leg kick stride on line, loads down and back to slight bar, has some rhythm to his swing. Hips rotate completely, stands up through contact and maintains balance during swing. Short uphill swing path with a pull preference, path flattens out when using middle of the field, line drive swing, exit velocity was 77. In the outfield, gets behind ball and fields with average hands, works through the ball to a clean exchange. Throws from a high three-quarters arm slot with a short arm action, outfield velocity was 76. Ran 4.28 home to first. On the mound, throws from a low three-quarters arm slot with a short arm action that is free. Shoulders on line and level, lands on line with a slight fall off finish. Fastball was 75-76 with heavy armside run. Curveball had some late 2/8 break at 65-66 and was thrown with good armspeed.
