Dalton is an athletic two sport athlete with a competitive fire and is a high energy player. A fringe runner now and should add a tick to his 7.05/60 speed as he continues to add overall strength and in his lower 1/2. Is confident in his approach to a ground ball in the OF with quick feet and fields out front and in coming thru the baseball. His arm is tick below MLB avg at 79 mph, but should get in to the mid 80’s in time. On the offensive side, he has a square even props stance with a rock in his body to sync his body rhythmically with a pre-set load. Starts with his hands on his back shoulder and rocks into the pre-set and showed an 80% on plane efficiency and barreled balls on a line with a solid 92 mph EV. Should approach 95-100 over the next few years as he’s a 2023 grad. His overall game should see vast improvement over the next 2 years, as he plays for a former 12 yr recruiting coordinator in Ryan Roberts at BYU.
