Crook has been coming to our events steadily over the last year + and has shown steady improvement and his data has taken a big jump, it’s just now putting it to use on the field and in the stat columns. After a tough junior season at Alta HS on the mound, Crook has taken some steps forward this summer and his velocity has taken an uptick. At the All-State Games, Crook, showing a slightly bent back leg and a flexible high kick to delivery, Crook has a shorter med arc to his takeaway, with solid ext out front, though there is some recoil out front as well. The FB 82-85 showed deception through the short HTQ arm slot, and at a spin of 2,187. Filled up the zone in his one inning of work at a 71% clip with the FB. The SL 78-80 has late TQ tilt and back foot to RHH type tilt at a spin of 2,313. Look for Crook to rebound and have a solid senior year, as schools are now reaching out with one offering.
