2021 West Coast Games alum
Tall and physical w/an imposing presence and the arm works! Has grown into a man since the fall of โ20 when we first saw himโฆCouple of inches and 30 Lbs later, Boice is coming into his own.
Has seen a steady increase in FB velocity as heโs matured and has always had feel to pitch!
2020 ~ FB 83-85, CB 66-68 CH 76

Has had a big fall with only 3 BBโs vs 27 Kโs in 17 IP, after coming off a very successful summer in the West Coast League, with a 3.92 ERA (8th Best) with only 11 BB vs 36 Kโs in 43 IP.
Will play for the Portland Pickles next summer (WCL)

Boiceย has been a staple at our state events. The West Coast Games alum features a mid 80โs projectable FB with a downhill plane with the delivery and drives the ball down in the zone. The CB in the upper 60โs is a sharp big breaking 12/6 tilted pitch that he throws in a spike type grip which tumbles hard and down, making it difficult for hitters to gage whether itโs gonna break into and through the zone. The tall RHโer has some unfinished business to take Skyline deeper into the state playoffs, as he looks to be a leader on an experienced team.ย

A West Coast Games participant. The future is bright with Boice as he has a loose arm and projects to a upper 80โs touching 90 type in time. Features a NWU high kick to delivery and stays back and over the rubber. Need to get into his legs a bit more. Tends to stay tall and use his upper body too much over his hips and waist. The FB 81-85 has been 83-86 in the past and with the delivery there are tweaks to be made to get him into his lower ยฝ and an increase of 3-4 mph should come quickly. A pitch-ability type now, that with added power to his arsenal, a different pitcher could evolve. The spike CB is thrown too slow, but has depth and bottom with big shape and hitters have a tough time waiting and timing the pitch. The CH is still a work in progress and with tighter and shorter shape to the CB, he should be able to tunnel the FB/CB combo much better. A cerebral pitched that understands how to pitch and will use his pitches at any time. It will be interesting to see where he gets next spring. Great personality ans makeup for the game.ย

Tall frame at 6'4", good length with projectability and room to add strength. Athletic and repeats his delivery from a step to the side in starting a NWU high flexible kick to delivery. Gets the hand out of the glove on time and into the power position at foot strike. His landing is inline with the plate, as he arches his back and clears his head to allow for an OH clean fluid arm stroke. In November his FB was 81-84 features four seam straight life, though he repeats and hits the mitt with flashes of command. The FB has ticked up this past spring to 84-87, and the OH slotย helps his best pitch, being a sharp 12-6 CB 64-66 that he shows a loose wrist and the feel to spin, with top to bottom shape and quality depth. The spacing of the FB/CB velos are ideal and will only improve with added arm strength, as he has time on his side. The CH 74-77 has fading life with a little movement, yet has the arm speed and deception with the feel to tinker with the ball in getting there. Between the frame and arsenal, Boice flashes decent upside.

XL tall frame with a good looking pitchers build. With long arms and legs, and arm speed to project added velo as he gains arm strength over the next couple of years, itโs easy to see big strides made. Would like to see him align his shoulders more and lower his arm angle a bit, which will allow for added life. Currently his FB 81-84 features four seam straight life, though he repeats and hits the mitt with flashes of command. The CH 74-77 has fading life and needs a bit more movement, yet has the arm speed and deception with the feel to tinker with the ball in getting there. Recommended to me by an umpire who worked the plate in the summer, while Aidan was on the mound for his legion team, and raved to me about his ability to pitch and how he went about his business. Look forward to seeing Boice at future events and following his progress.ย
