Brandon Klanika, Axtell (TX), 2025 Positional Profile: 3B/1B Brandon has the ability to have some big time pop from the right handed batters box. With time and some work he could develop into a power hitter. Body: 5-10, 203-pounds. Stocky frame that has potential to fill out with some time in the weight room to add some muscle mass. Hit: RHH. Straight stance with feet just outside the shoulders. Hands set up just below the back shoulder with slight movement. Weight evenly distributed and in the toes. Brandon drops the hands as he swings creating an uppercut through the zone. Feet are a little unstable causing him to be a bit off balance and to pull off the ball early. 73.7 mph bat speed with 16 G's of rotational acceleration. Power: 94 max exit velocity, averaged 84.2 mph. 333' max distance. Brandon is heavy to the pull side and shows some nice power to that side of the field when he catches the ball out front. He does a good job of barreling the ball up. Arm: RH. INF-78 mph. Releases the ball over the top primarily and someitmes from a high 3/4 slot. Ball has some armside fade to it accross the diamond. Armspeed and strength needs improvement. Defense: Shows some glimpes of smoothness with the glovework. Heavy feet with below average footwork, and needs to work on attacking the ball with better downhill aggression and confidence. ATH: 8.00 runner in the 60. 1.88 and 4.37 in the 10 and 30 yard splits. Runs tall and is heavy on the feet with short strides. 23.10 max vertical.
