Andrew Clayton, Grand Oaks (TX), 2027 Positional Profile: SS/2B Body: 5-11, 169-pounds. Good build/frame to add needed strength. Quality build in future with physical maturity and added strength. Hit: RHH. Length to stride, overall lands in decent position to hit. Rotational back foot, limited drive forward of lower 1/2. Recommend trying to gain some linear movement forward with back foot, hitting into firm front side. This will help ability to impact baseball. Barrel/hands in solid launch position. Length to swing, slight scoop swing along with barrel cast out and around. Would like to see more direct path to hit area with both hands and barrel shortening swing. Shortening swing will help fair bat/hand speed. 63.5 mph bat speed with 8 G's of rotational acceleration. Power: 93 max exit velocity, averaged 83.8 mph. 343' max distance. Arm: RH. INF-87 mph. Arm works, throws have carry. Will continue to improve. Defense: Feet work well getting to body to baseball. Nice job of working/adjusting feet in fielding process, can improve playing thru baseball. Hands/glove in good position to field, would like to see slightly more out front when fielding ball. Solid actions. ATH: 7.28 runner in the 60. 1.80 and 4.11 in the 10 and 30 yard splits. Runs hard, moves fine. Will improve with added strength.
