09.30.17 - 2018 OF/LHP Tre Jones (Jersey Village HS) may have the highest ceiling of uncommitted position players. The 6-foot-1, 170-pound, left-handed hitter has a strong, high-waisted, athletic frame. He ran a 7.13-second 60-yard dash on a slow track, threw 89 mph from the outfield, registered an exit velocity of 97 mph, and bumped 88 on the mound. Jones has loose hands and easy rhythm at the plate, and consistently barreled up the ball during batting practice. Our staff also saw Jones in action two weeks ago in Tomball where he also swung the bat well.

10.8.16 - 6-foot, 160-pound athletic, strong frame. Lean muscular build with long limbs. Works from a high-¾ slot with a smooth delivery and quick arm. Fastball appeared to got on top of hitters at 85 mph. Slider is his second best pitch 63 mph and should improve as he continues to develop. Athletic player that ran a 6.83 60-yard dash and registered 86 mph on his exit velo.

11.19.16 - 6-foot, 160-pound, long limbed, wiry, athletic frame. Moves well in the outfield and shows good range from gap-to-gap. The left-handed hitter took some good swings this weekend scorching a couple of balls, including a missile he hit up the middle on a curveball. If his overall strength improves, he will be an interesting player to follow throughout the next year.
