The UTA signee continues to hit at a high level in his senior year. In a big matchup for the district title, Black started the Lake Ridge onslaught with a leadoff double. He is dealing with a foot injury that limited his quickness, but the senior leader showed some resolve playing good defense and having quality ab’s all night. The progression of Black throughout his HS career has been fun to watch.

The UTA signee continues to get better and better. Playing SS for Lake Ridge, he made all the plays that was asked of him. He projects most likely to 2nd base at the next level and should be a plus defender there. He hit a laser to RC that got over the fence and showed off above avg. bat speed. Black has the ability to get deep in counts and looks to be a future top of the order bat.

The UTA signee continues to get better and better. He always has good ab’s and grinds every at bat. In one ab he fouled off multiple pitches and then shot a line drive to the opposite field for a single. Once he gets to college and gets stronger, he should tap into some pull side power.
