A fastball with hop has a flat approach angle and visually jumps through the zone. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher swing and miss average. Hop+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Sink+
A fastball with sink has low backspin and drops through the strike zone. When thrown down in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher ground ball percentage and lower launch angle. Sink+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Rise+
A fastball with rise has a high percentage of backspin. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher fly ball percentage. Rise+ of 100 is MLB average
Curveball
Hammer+
A hammer breaking ball drops vertically with velocity through the zone, or 12-to-6 movement. Hammer+ of 100 is MLB average.
Curveball
Sweep+
A sweeping breaking ball moves horizontally with velocity through the zone. Sweep+ of 100 is MLB average.

Maximus Broderick, James Bowie (TX), 2025 Positional Profile: OF/C Upside to tools, offensively has lots of opportunities for adjustments. Upside to bat/power combo. Body: 5-10, 148-pounds. Good build to add needed strength. Hit: RHH. Wide stance with slight weight shift to back leg to start stride. Slight movement forward with stride foot, closes off with stride slightly. Dead back side, not rotation to back foot or linear movement forward. With length of stride would suggest he try linear movement with back foot to get lower 1/2 involved. Long, scoop swing. For success must work to shorten swing and get on plane. 66.1 mph bat speed with 22 G's of rotational acceleration. Power: 90 max exit velocity, averaged 74.8 mph. 298' max distance. Needs increased strength and swing adjustments for success. Arm: RH. OF-81 mph. Arm works, upside to raw arm strength with throwing/long toss program. Defense: Solid defender, moves well to baseball with feet, good position to field ball. Takes too many steps to throw. ATH: 7.54 runner in the 60. Hard runner, moves well. 24.70 max vertical. Vizual Edge: 69.63 Edge Score

Maximus Broderick, James Bowie (TX), 2025 Positional Profile: OF/C Maximus is a versitile player who has the potential to contribute from both behind the plate and as a solid outfielder. Body: 5-10, 148-pounds. Long lanky frame that has the potential of filling out with more time spent in the weight room. Hit: RHH. Tall slightly closed stance in the box. Hands high behind the head with bat laid back vertically with barrel towards the ground. Hands stay up through the zone staying on top on the balls thorugh contact. Moderate leg kick wiith decent load on the backside. Barrel wraps around the ball. Footwork has room for improvement to put more force into the ground to stabalize his lower half better. 67.4 mph bat speed with 19 G's of rotational acceleration. Power: 95 max exit velocity, averaged 86.1 mph. 333' max distance. Maximus shows some pop to the pullside, once he improves his stabilization of the lower half he will have the potetial to drive the balls to all sides of the field. Arm: RH. C-72 mph. OF-83 mph. Over the top arm action and moderately quick. Releases the ball slightly early. Maximus needs to stay behind and through his throw better to give his ball better ride. Puts the ball on target pretty well. Defense: 2.08-2.22 pop times. Maximus recieves the ball out front as a catcher and should let the ball get deeper while also focusing on coming up through the ball with the thumb down a little better. Because of his recieving way out front, his transfer from mitt to hand could use some improvement when it comes to fluiddity and speed. From the OF he does a good job fielding out in front of the lead leg, but needs to get down into the legs better. ATH: 7.73 runner in the 60. 1.81 and 4.24 in the 10 and 30 yard splits. Runs downhill, looks to be a little heavy footed, can imrpove with more agility/footwork training. 43.30 max vertical.
