7-20-2018: 5-foot-8, 175 pounds. Short and stocky. Starter. Quick arm.   slot. Full arm path. FB sat 90, ranged from 88-91. Produced many swings and misses up in the zone with this pitch. CB was 76-75, 11/5 movement. Average pitch. CH was the better of the two off-speeds, Sat 77-79. Swing and miss stuff again, threw in any count. However, he did spike this pitch often. Control was average. Two quality swing and miss pitches effectiveness were stunted by his lack of mixing speeds. Became predictable, approached hitters the same. Went five innings, allowed four runs on seven hits. He struck-out six and walked two. Has a great repertoire, real swing and miss stuff with the FB, CH combo. Needs to work on mixing his pitches to keep hitters guessing to improve his outlook. (Jake Stone)
