Rayfield is high waisted, lanky, 6-2, 210-pounds, and has a lot of upside. He ran a long-strided 7.09 60 and had a nice showing on the mound. He has a composed delivery, slow in the back side and accelerates down the hill. His fastball worked at 76-78, not a lot of visible effort in the arm showing there can be more in the tank. His curveball was 66-68 with some depth, and he showed a 70-71 mph changeup. He showed his raw arm strength in the outfield at 80 mph. At the plate Rayfield has a simple swing from a wide base, making consistent contact and grooving the ball back up the middle with some pop, registering a 90 mph exit velocity.
