Marshall worked exclusively out of the stretch at 83-86, and showed the ability to pound the zone with his fastball to both sides of the plate. There was some sinking action to the arm side, and he showed confidence in pounding the pitch in on right-handed hitters. Able to manipulate his breaking ball, Marshall was up as high 77 mph with a truer slider with some tilt while also garnering bigger break on a slower curveball at 69-71. The slider has a chance to be a swing and miss pitch moving forward, and with his feel for setting up hitters, it may develop into a weapon in the near future. He has a fast arm and repeats his high ¾ slot with ease.

Marshall, who committed to Oklahoma recently, has an athletic frame at 5-foot-11, 180-pounds. The sophomore opened eyes when he jumped on the mound and pumped 87-89 mph with heavy arm side life on his fastball. He works predominantly from the stretch with a high-¾ slot and quick arm stroke from back to front. Showed excellent command of both his fastball and slider, mowing through hitters in one inning of work. Fastball dropped to 85-86 only a couple of times, but sat mostly 87-88 for the duration of his outing. His slider is a swing and miss pitch with tight rotation, late break and 11/5 shape at 74-77. Marshall can throw the pitch for a strike early in the count, as well as put hitters away by expanding the zone. With the movement Marshall has on both his fastball and slider, he will be a fun arm to follow for years to come. A two-way player and right-handed hitter, Marshall starts from a balanced, slightly open stance. Quick load back, hands are back as he lands with a short stride, flat path through the zone, line drive approach with hard contact and an exit velocity of 84 mph. Ran a 7.44 60-yard dash.
5-foot-11, 150-pound frame. Wiry strong, lean build. Works from a ¾ slot and has good energy and life in his delivery. His fastball ranged from 79-82 mph, topping out at 83. He threw his slider with good feel 69-70 mph. He showed a quick arm for his age and a good feel for the strike zone.
