06.06.17 - Bodine has a still developing, projectable, lanky, athletic frame at 6-foot, 185-pounds, with plenty of room to add strength in the next year. The right-handed hitter has a quick load with fair rhythm and a big leg-kick as his hands trigger downward when he lands at foot-strike, but slot into the zone nicely. Longer stride with average balance, fast hands with an inside-out path and slight lift. Does a nice job of getting extended through contact with a higher finish and a middle-oppo approach. At shortstop, Bodine makes the play on the run with athleticism and plays low on both the routine and back-hand play. Throws from a ¾ slot with a slightly longer exchange. Look for his defensive actions to quicken up as he continues to fill out his frame.
