The left handed hitting Roquemore showed out on Tuesday for Argyle. He had some big hits for the Eagles, including a 3B he laced to RC and a LD single to score a couple of runs in a big moment. The swing is simple but has some juice behind it. He does a great job of staying balanced throughout the swing, allowing him to see the ball deep and use the whole field. He has more than enough athleticism to stick up the middle long term, either at SS or 2nd. I am a big fan of Roquemore and imagine his stock will continue to rise through the summer.
1/19/22
Roquemore has the ability to make the game look easy for someone his age. At the plate, he showed off a very mature round of bp, with a short compact stroke that produced hard contact all over the field. As he continues to fill out his Left Handed Swing should develop more power. He has plenty of athleticism to handle short and enough arm strength to play 3rd. Roquemore is poised to have a big sophomore year, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see him keep climbing in our rankings.
