Big-bodied righty, Loving is 6-foot-3, 215-pounds, shows strong lower half on drive down the mound. Arm stiffens in back side before quick up to 3/4 slot. Fastball sat 85-86 mph and bumped up to 88 at top speed. Slider was nice with tight break with 10/4 shape at 73-75 mph. Curveball was more over the top at 74 mph, and changeup showed fade at 79-80.
Estimated 6-foot-3, 195-pound, lanky frame with a high waist. The right-hander throws from a high ¾ slot with a long arm swing. His fastball was 83-85 mph, touched 87 mph early and settled in at 82-84 mph, touching 86 mph. Commanded the fastball consistently low in the zone to both sides of the plate. Also threw a curveball that 74-77 mph the entire night with 11-5 action. Threw it glove side for swing and misses outside the zone and was able to land it arm side in the strike zone.

Loving has a big, strong pitcher’s frame at 6-foot-3, 200-pounds. Working from a high slot that varies between over the top and high-¾, the right-hander gets down the mound with a long stride and above average effort. His fastball flashes tilt at 85-86 mph, while his curveball has good rotation and depth at 74 mph. We have seen Loving up to 88 this fall and with his projectable frame, strong lower half, and ability to spin a curveball, he will be an arm to follow closely during the spring high school season.

Loving has a projectable, durable frame at 6-foot-3, 200-pounds. The right-hander works from an over the top slot with a directional, drop-and-drive delivery. His fastball topped out at 88 mph, sitting mostly 85-86. Maintains good arm speed on his slider with late, short break at 73-75 mph, while his changeup has heavy downer action in the middle of the plate at 77 mph.
