Alex Cooley, Rockwall-Heath (TX), 2026 Positional Profile: SS RHH/Inf…will get stronger. Solid approach to hit with good contact off barrel. Steady defender with versatility. Plays game hard. Player with upside. Body: 5-8, 168-pounds. Solid build/frame to add strength. Will have good body as he matures and adds strength. Hit: RHH. Lands in good position to hit. Rotational back foot, gets stuck, not fully rotating. Minor adjustment, get back foot fully rotated on time to maximize effectiveness of lower 1/2. Late hand/barrel load, taking hands back. Solid launch position, takes good path to zone. Gets little quick out front at times pulling balls. Solid swing. 70.8 mph bat speed with 10 G's of rotational acceleration. Power: 97 max exit velocity, averaged 89.6 mph. 355' max distance. Solid approach to hit. Bat/hand speed will increase with added strength. Good off barrel looking for line drive contact. Can let baseball travel bit more at times. Like the upside to hit tool. Arm: RH. INF-88 mph. Arm works well, carry to throws. Avg accuracy. Will continue to add to raw arm strength in future. Defense: Feet work well getting body into fielding position. Feet work thru fielding process, occ ball gets deep, can fielding ball more out front at times. Shows solid body control on defense. Foot speed/quickness is fine. Will have defensive versatility on the dirt. ATH: 7.06 runner in the 60. 1.73 and 3.94 in the 10 and 30 yard splits. Solid mover, 60 time could improve some with added strength and maturity. 30.90 max vertical.
