Plenty physical at 6-foot, 185-pounds, RHP/INF Cheng-Yu Lin (Yingge, 2026) is a two-way name to know from this event. Lin worked from gap-to-gap throughout BP, using a strong, right-handed barrel to post a strong average exit velocity of 85.8 mph, sending his best ball 321 feet at 91.9 mph. That strength translated to the field where he fired a 78 mph bullet across the diamond - the third best mark on the day. Afterwards Lin hopped on the mound, running his fastball up to 87 mph, sitting in the low-to-mid-80s. Aside from his velocity, which led the event, Lin’s fastball played with natural carry, averaging 19 inches of vertical break. Off of that he showed the aptitude to land a curveball/slider/changeup mix for strikes.
