Parker Tompkins, Fred J Page High School (TN), 2028 Positional Profile: SS/2B Body: 5-9, 140-pounds. Small and lean frame at present with an athletic look. Should hold muscle and size very well as he ages. Hit: RHH. Starts pre pitch with a taller stance, with his feet just past shoulder width with a even stance. Loads into his back leg very well with a small leg kick. Generates lots of torque on footplant before launching. Rides his back hip throughout the swing allowing him to get a lot of power out of his backside. Lived in the left center gap with hard line drives, generates lots of bat speed that will only increase as he gets stronger. Power: 84 max exit velocity, averaged 75.5 mph. 269' max distance. Arm: RH. INF-77 mph. Quick and short arm action with a low three quarters slot, appears very easy out of the hand and should hold more velo as he moves forward on his growth. Defense: Smooth strides too and through the ball, shows a great ability to make chop steps to adjust his time to the ball. Very confident with his glove work. ATH: 7.60 runner in the 60.
