Mid-Atlantic Summer Championships
Athletic thin framed 5-foot-9, 130-pound right handed pitcher. Delivery had some pace, gathered over the rubber, and strides down and out landing open at foot strike. Arm action is longer and throws from a side arm slot. Fastball was 69-72 with a ton of sink and filled up the zone. Breaking ball came out of the same arm slot at 62-63 mph and was consistently in the zone with the pitch. Brooks impressed with his ability to throw 2+ pitches out of the sidearm slot and induced early, mostly weak, contact. Velocity should tick up as he continues to fill out and if he can continue his advanced feel from that slot he should be a right hander to watch develop.
